Why this work matters
A cancer diagnosis is frightening anywhere. In rural regions of the Americas, it can also mean impossible travel distances, lost income, and families separated for months of treatment. Our Cancer Support program funds patient travel and lodging near treatment centers, covers diagnostic costs for uninsured patients, and trains community health workers to guide families through the treatment journey. We currently support partner hospitals and patient networks in nine countries, with a focus on early detection campaigns in underserved communities.
