With forecasters predicting an active 2026 hurricane season, our Disaster Relief team has completed its annual pre-positioning campaign weeks ahead of schedule. Emergency warehouses in 22 countries now hold shelter kits for 40,000 families, water purification units capable of serving half a million people, and medical supply caches coordinated with regional health authorities.
Pre-positioning is the quiet work that makes our 72-hour response window possible. When a storm makes landfall, supplies are already within trucking distance of affected communities, and local partner teams are already trained in distribution.
This year's campaign also added solar charging stations to every kit, reflecting lessons from recent storms in which communication blackouts slowed family reunification.
